  • Biodynamic Agriculture Festival of the Americas

1. SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, GTO.

SEAT OF THE FIRST BIODYNAMIC AGRICULTURE FESTIVAL OF THE AMERICAS

The name is derived from a combination of two names: Fray Juan de San Miguel, who was the founder of this community in the year 1542, and Ignacio Allende, the leader of our National Independence.

In the eighteenth century and in the first decade of the nineteenth century, San Miguel was a mercantile, industrial, and agricultural center of great importance.

In the year 1950, San Miguel de Allende became a tourist spot known for its beautiful colonial architecture, its temperate climate, and its thermal springs, hence the reason many foreigners adopt this city to retire and settle here.

San Miguel Allende was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the category of cultural heritage under the name of Historic City.

The climate in September in San Miguel de Allende is warm with cool nights. The month also brings the last rains of the year, so come prepared with boots, proper clothes, and umbrellas, because some activities will be at a distance from the covered area.
